I lived all my life in CA until late 2007 when I moved to FL. The two dogs I had at the time went with me, then I later added a ferret and a budgie. Since the March 2007 pet food recalls, I have decided to dedicate myself to feeding my pets a more natural diet (less processed). My dog and ferret eat raw (yes, as in raw meats, raw meaty bones, and organs). This isn't for everyone and lots of research is needed. It took me some times to get comfortable with the idea, but once I started I haven't looked back. I can't imagine ever going back to commercial kibble foods. Even the bird I have is getting as much fresh, natural foods as possible. He eats sprouted seeds, sprouted legumes, sprouted grains, grass clippings, flowers, vegetables, etc. He does not get pellets and minimally baked/cooked items. I grow grass (mostly wheat grass) for him constantly and have plants on my patio for his benefit.

Luckily when I moved, I was able to ship my sewing machine. I enjoy sewing various items for my pets, but also make items for around the apartment. I learned how to crochet early this year and love it. I want to take classes on knitting, but that is hard to find. I also want to take classes in making quilts. I did lose some of my crafting supplies when I moved, but I am slowly getting more. I think I need more room in this apartment to store all of it.

It took some time to adjust to FL coming from CA. I had to get used to living in an apartment and dealing with the humidity. One thing I am very pleased with is that my apartment is nice. I have a lake side view from my screened in patio. My patio doesn't get that much sun, which is nice, but it also makes it difficult to grow sun loving plants.

And so, this website is dedicated to my pets and my hobbies. I hope you enjoy your visit.

My new car. Sure is nice to finally have a car out here in Florida. Now I wish the gas prices would go down.
